The Hall

Mountnessing Village Hall is situated alongside the playing fields adjacent to the windmill and welcomes users to its country setting. The Hall opens onto the Millennium Patio Garden complete with lychgate, ideal for photographs. Also, for a donation to the Windmill Fund, we are able to provide access to the grounds of the windmill for that special photograph.

The Hall comprises an entrance foyer, hall 60' by 30', a large kitchen, toilets and storage area. There is a small stage area. The Hall will accommodate 150 people for a seated event or up to 200 people for a disco/dance. There are 12 round tables seating up to 10 people and 120 banqueting chairs. There are also 50 plastic stacking chairs and 12 tables, size 72 x 30" (184 x 76 cm) and 24 size 36 x 30 (92 x 76 cm). The Hall is not licensed for the sale of alcohol but the Hirer is able to apply for a Temporary Events Notice allowing the Hirer to undertake this. Such licenses are limited to 12 per annum. Certain criteria must be met to obtain committee approval and an additional charge is also payable to the Council. If a publican is engaged to supply and run a bar he would normally be happy to apply for a license on the hirer's behalf. FEEDBACK:

"Thank you, Hall was great for space and for my child's party.  We had a big long table decorated for them to eat, a food table and cake table.  Plus a bouncy castle and soft play.  The kitchen was great with the opening bar area to allow adults to serve their own drinks.
Charley, January 2020"

"We hired Mountnessing Village Hall for a children’s birthday party and were delighted with the venue. It provided excellent space for the children and was well equipped with tables, chairs and an excellent kitchen. There is plenty of parking and it made an ideal venue for us. Thank you.  Kind regards,
Lucia, February 2020"
